The conference includes three parallel tracks: Technology, System Integration and the International Green Entrepreneurship Forum IGEF. Each track features five sessions with four presentations by invited speakers. Overall, there will be more than 60 talks on a great variety of topics related to the transition to 100% renewable energy supply.
TRACK A: TECHNOLOGY
Technologies for 100% renewable energy supply need to be economic, efficient and reliable. Technological innovation can on the one hand increase the share of renewable energies by cutting costs or enhancing efficiency. On the other hand new technical solutions aim to cope with the challenges imposed by a growing importance of renewable sources in the energy industry. The sessions of the track will give an insight into which technologies will shape 100% renewable energy supply.
TRACK B: SYSTEM INTEGRATION
Energy systems with a high share of renewable energy show a substantially different structure than today’s traditional systems of supply and demand. The sessions of this track demonstrate what systems that enable 100% renewable energy supply will look like in terms of structure and system integrating technologies. Additionally methods for modelling and simulating energy systems with a growing share of renewable sources are presented.
TRACK C: IGEF
100% renewable energy supply systems offer both enormous business challenges and opportunities. The International Green Entrepreneurship Forum IGEF is an annual network forum for partners from science and research, private enterprise and “the public” to combine their efforts to improve and promote the growth of the green economy and green entrepreneurship through genuine projects. In its sessions the track comprises relevant business aspects of a green economy and renewable energy supply being one of its main cornerstones. The focus will be on innovation and entrepreneurship aspects.
